“Advancing Multicultural Understanding of Child and Adolescent Psychopathology: Comparisons of Findings from Many Societies”
Thomas M. Achenbach, PhD
Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology, University of Vermont
“Throughout the world, children and those who work with them are increasingly affected by the mixing, blending, and clashing of cultures. Equally important, there is a growing internationalization of training, research, services, and communication pertaining to children’s mental health. In view of the needs and opportunities for multicultural perspectives, this presentation will provide detailed comparisons of findings on child and adolescent psychopathology assessed with the same standardized assessment procedures in many very different societies.”
